A new survey by Google says tech is increasingly creating the next wave of great entrepreneurs.
The tech industry is now generating a “growing number of highly talented people”, and the survey says it is becoming “more difficult” to attract talent to the industry.
The top five companies generating the most talent are Facebook, Apple, Google, Amazon and Zynga.
The survey of more than 500 US-based entrepreneurs and investors was carried out by the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz.
The results have been published on the company’s website.
“Our findings show that more and more companies are making a conscious effort to hire and retain highly skilled talent,” it says.
“These companies have the potential to significantly increase the quality of life for all users and businesses around the world.”
It adds: “More and more of these highly talented individuals and companies are becoming highly valuable to their communities.”
The survey also looked at how companies are working to improve the lives of their employees and employees’ communities.
The answers show that:•Facebook is creating a “better environment” for employees, and the company has “made great strides” to improve its processes and processes, the report says.•Amazon has improved its diversity initiatives, including training and hiring of women.•Zynga is trying to improve transparency around hiring practices and the performance of employees.•Google has launched a new “trending workforce” to ensure more of its talent can contribute to its business.
The findings have been made possible by the Open Jobs platform, which is powered by Google and allows anyone to conduct a survey on a company’s workforce.
This is part of a wider effort to encourage companies to engage their employees, says Andreessen.
It has also been launched to help the public get a better idea of the companies and their employees’ lives, the company says.
The study was conducted between January and March.
