I wanted to create MOBKOI as a solution for delivering client messages to premium audiences on the world’s most select and trusted publishers.

Journey

My brother and I have always been motivated to launch a company together as a family as it’s something we grew up with. We started with a traditional approach – by talking to people. I talked to premium brands, my brother talked to premium publishers, and we were able to develop a deep understanding of what their challenges were. We developed a solution that would bring value to both advertisers and publishers by creating premium, innovative and transparent mobile advertising campaigns. We launched MOBKOI together in May 2014 in London – ‘Mob’ meaning mobile and ‘Koi’ after the exclusive and premium Japanese fish, reflecting our company ethos and unique approach with premium clients and publishers. Since launch just three years ago, MOBKOI has grown by over 300%. To date we have delivered over 250 mobile campaigns for 85 premium brands including Canon, Nespresso, Mulberry and GE, working with over 1,000 publishers internationally. In three years we now have offices in London, Paris and Germany and recently appointed three Managing Directors to head-up each office. We have an exciting year ahead!

My brother and I have very different skill sets that are equally instrumental to the success of MOBKOI. Guillaume manages all finance, legal and publishing matters while I’m focusing on the group’s strategy, sales and marketing.

As mobile ad spend continues to overtake, brands face new challenges to reach and engage with their audiences effectively. It’s essential that marketers are able to maintain control of their advertising – how it looks, where it’s seen, how it engages, in order to protect the image they worked so hard to build. We work directly with a strong network of global, high-end publishers to ensure our premium clients are reaching their desired audiences. Via our in-house creative studio and through our partnership with Celtra, we develop cutting-edge mobile ads that offer market-leading engagement. Our mission is to deliver client messages to premium audiences on the world’s most select and trusted publishers.
